Sephora Haul.

21 March 2014

Hi there.

Disclaimer: I have combination/oily and breakout-prone skin.

I have to admit, I am a shopaholic when it comes to skincare and makeup. And after a long time of not stepping into Sephora, I finally got a hold of both these items that I have been wanting to buy. Since Philosophy has just flooded all over Malaysia's Sephora's outlets a while ago, I have no problem of searching for Philosophy's skincare items anymore!

Let's get started with a make-up item first! After reading some reviews and watching a few blog posts, I have decided to try Stila's One Step Skin Tone Correcting & Brightening Serum (RM117). It is a corrector serum that brightens up your skin and also cover redness and imperfections. I love the packaging as it looks like a helix of 3 colours and they remind me of the helix from our DNA. The green color helix is to minimize redness; where the lavender colour counteracts sollow undertones - to reduce up dull skintones, and the peach colour is used to brighten, illuminate and help to diminish the appearance of sun spots. It also reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles, minimizes pores, hydrates and balances our skin and it controls oil as well. So, the names lives it up - all in one! It covers my redness and when I put on a thin layer of foundation, it glides on smoothly and didn't make me breakout at all. And I have to admit it made my skin looks so much better!

The next product is a cleanser of which I have actually eyed on for a long time since my Singapore trip last May. It's the Purity Made Simple Cleanser by Philosophy (240ml - RM85). My best friend uses it and recommended it to me but I never buy it because I was unsure of the results that would come out. It smells like flowers (like those cleansers they use for your facial appointments), and it consists of meadowfoam seed oil, which is a natural oil to hydrate the skin lightly to leave it comfortable. It's actually a 3-in-1 cleanser to 1) melt away eye and face makeup, 2) to cleanse the face, and also 3) serves as a toner. It's also very mild, and not very foamy. I love massaging this on my face as it gives me a very relaxing feeling.

Love,
Angeline xo
