Origins face masks: haul.

24 April 2014

Hello everybody! I trust that you all are having a great week, yes?

So here's another post, as quote the title, I've went shopping with my mum and I got 2 face masks from Origins.

(Click on the logo to be redirected to the Malaysian website.)

I've never used any other products by Origins except for their Clear Improvement face (RM110) mask which actually is an active charcoal clay mask that clears pores and draws out the impurities. Speaking of that, here's a photo of mine which is deformed, so I called. I haven't been using it for a long, long time.

Though it was really good, it dries out my skin like crazy.. I guess that would blame on my crazy oily acne-prone skin, not to mention that it's super sensitive too. It comes out like a greyish cream and I would usually leave it to dry for 10-15 minutes. Beware that it may tingle a bit for the first time though. And please, anyone who is thinking of trying this: remember to put on your moisturiser after using the mask, as I say, it will make your skin feels very dry.

All right, back to the 2 products that I have purchased today.

From the left: Dr. Andrew WEIL for Origins Mega-Mushroom Skin Relief Face Mask, Origins Out of Trouble mask.

As for the Dr. Andrew WEIL for Origins Mega-Mushroom Skin Relief Face Mask (RM210), I don't understand why the "mega mushroom" would have to be emphasised. As the website has stated, "calms visible redness. Helps revitalise and restore luminosity to stressed skin and rebuild a protective barrier to help avoid future flare-ups." I haven't tried it yet, but it seem like it would suit my skin very well since my skin is not only prone to acne, but it also is prone to redness and sensitivity. My skin is undeniably, super sensitive. So it's great for those who have sensitive skin with redness.

I have tried out the Out of Trouble mask (RM110) when I came back home as my skin is thirsty for a mask, I have actually gotten a sample of it back when I bought the Clear Improvement Mask, but I did not use it much because it didn't help much at the time. It has the Salicylic Acid smell, but it's white in colour when you squeeze it out and it dries out pretty quickly. It says that you have to leave it on for 10 minutes (as stated on the packaging), and when I washed my face, the redness have gone for a bit. It is good for those who have acne-prone skin like me.

I would suggest that anyone that's interested to try out a new product to get a hold of a sample (if possible), so that you'll be able to evaluate if the product is right for you before you waste a ton of money on something that does not work for you.

Love,
Angeline
