28 December 2014

As 2014 is approaching an end, I have compiled the Best Finds of 2014, mainly including beauty, skincare and some bath & body as well as haircare discoveries I've made this year. Prepare for a super long post as I have quite a list of products...

This year I've found so many beauty products after I came here to England as it's much easier to get these products whenever you want to compared to back home. But let's not stray away from the topic as there are quite a many products that I've been wanting to share with you of what I find best!

1. NARS Sheer Glow Foundation (£31) -  A dewy and medium-to-full coverage foundation, I use the shade Punjab. It's one of the most foundations that I've been wearing this year. It's super long-lasting!
2. Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation & Airbuki Brush (£34) - Matte full coverage foundation, it's perfect for summer! I'm using the shade Light-Medium Neutral, it's super long-lasting and it's amazing on combination/oily skins.
3. MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural (£23) - I use this to keep my shine away as I dab a few brushes to keep my T-zone matte. I use the shade Light Plus.
4. YSL Touche Éclat Highlighter Pen (£25) - A highlighting concealer to conceal your dark under-eyes, in which I have and that reminds me that I need to sleep earlier than I do!
5. NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer (£22) - This concealer is creamy, radiant and thick in consistency to cover up my blemishes. I use the shade Custard.
6. Collection Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Concealer (£4.19) - A dupe for the NARS concealer, it works just the same as the NARS concealer for a more affordable price! I currently use this the most and I'm using the shade in 3 - Warm Medium.
7. NARS Virtual Domination Palette (£45) - A limited edition palette, I think. It consists of three beautiful blushes, one highlighter and a bronzer. Read the full post here.
8. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Diffused Heat (£28) - One of the most beautiful blushes I've ever come across as many beauty bloggers have reviewed about it, and I needed to try it for myself. It's very pricey for a blush, but the consistency is thick. Read the full post here.
9. Marc Jacobs O!Mega Bronzer in Perfect Tan ($49) -  I got this when MJ Beauty first hits Sephora stores back home, and it's just... too big, but it's worth the price as you get a big bronzer for the price. Unfortunately, it's not available anywhere in the UK but you can buy it from Sephora.

1. Clinique Chubby Stick Shadow for Eyes (£17) - I have the colour 03 Fuller Fudge here and this is a perfect brown/nude shade for the eyes, but also brings a little bit of shimmer to make your eye colour pop!
2. Stila Stay-All-Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner (£13) - I have three colours, Midnight, Dark Brown and Intense Black. Unfortunately I have no idea why the writings come off of both Dark Brown and Intense Black, let me know any of your Stila eyeliner did this too. I'm planning on getting more of these eyeliners as they're so waterproof and I love them!
3. L'Oreal Miss Manga Mega Volume Waterproof Mascara (£8.99) - A high street mascara that is waterproof, I also love the Maybelline Falsies Volum Express Waterproof Mascara as they're almost the same, but they're super long-lasting! This mascara also doesn't clump my lashes, and they make it super curved!
4. Tarte Lights, Camera, Splashes Waterproof Mascara ($20) - I wanted to try this out as Tarte has never failed to amaze me but this mascara took a little longer to dry up after I apply it on. But other than that it's super waterproof and stubborn to take off (as it's so waterproof) and it doesn't smudge!
5. Benefit Gimme Brow (£17.50) - I use Medium/Deep and it comes in a little brow wand to make your eyebrows look fuller and pretty! I'm on using my second tube and although it's slightly pricey for such a small product, it doesn't come off easily as you wipe your face (accidentally) because it happened to me so it's pretty good.
6. Soap & Glory Archery 2-in-1 Brow Pencil and Brush in Hot Chocolate (£8) - I have the Brow Tint as well but I prefer using this as I can draw strokes on my brows where needed.

1. Bourjois Velvet Rouge Lipstick in Grand Cru (£8.99) - This is one of my favourite lipsticks as it's matte and it's in a bold red colour, I'm just in love with matte bold red lipsticks!
2. Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Moss Lipstick in 107 (£5.49) - This smells like berries and it's another matte and dark red lipstick, it's amazing how I write all about dark red lipsticks..not to mention most of them are matte!
3. Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Love Liberty (£23) - My first matte lipstick! And I never turned back. It smells like vanilla and it's a berry colour. What can I say? Matte, dark and berry colours are my go-to colours for lipsticks now!

1. Jo Malone Peony and Suede Blush cologne (100ml - £40) - My best friend's gifted me this and I left it at home, so I bought another one because it just smells super good! It's a long-lasting scent and I love it!
2. Burberry My Burberry perfume (£65) - I got this with a gift set of which you can read it here. I love floral scents and this classic packaging is just stunning that I had to grab it. It's very long-lasting and it features the classic Burberry Trench packaging.

1. Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micellar Cleansing Water (£4.50) -  I've found a dupe although this works just amazingly but slightly harder to obtain as it's not available in any drugstores and it's more pricey. So now I use the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water (£3.32) but this is one of my favourites as I use it whenever I go travelling.
2. The Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Oil (£10) - My second bottle although I left half of it back home, and a dupe for the Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil. Works amazingly as it doesn't sting my eyes whenever I try to remove my eye makeup.
3. The Body Shop Honey & Oat 2-in-1 Scrub Mask (£10) - I love masks that contain oats, can you tell already? It can be used as a scrub but also a mask, and I love it!
4. First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Instant Oatmeal Mask (£14) - OATS! This mask made me wanted to eat the oats that came out with it and it smells heavenly! Both the Body Shop and FAB masks make me super happy!
5. GlamGlow Supermud Clearing Treatment Mask (£31.99) - It's a clay mask and oh! I like clay masks too! This stings a little when you apply it but it melts the dead particles in your skin as it exfoliates it while it controls your breakouts. Very pricey too, but I recommend it!
6. Clarisonic MIA2 Cleansing System (£125) - A very pricey investment as I bought it from a recommendation from my best friend as my skin was horrendously breaking out, and she'd thought that this will help me cleanse them out...and guess what? She was right! I use this almost everyday and the brush heads are just so delicate (I use both Delicate and Sensitive brush heads) that it doesn't strip me off my fragile skin.
7. Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions Clinical Clearing Gel (£20) - I'm on a second bottle here and this works wonders compared to the old version of clearing gel. I switch in between this and the Effaclar Duo+ depending on my skin condition.
8. La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo+ (£15.50) - It didn't work the first few times but I guess good things take time, right? This is a bit too harsh but I only use it at night before I go to bed. It controls the breakouts and prevents new blemishes.
9. Sarah Chapman Skinesis Overnight Facial (£45) - I think I've been posting about this a lot these days but I need to put this into my best finds as I can't stress enough that it's just a brilliant product! I have been afraid to use facial oils/serums all my life as the Estée Lauder ANR has broke me out so badly, but this turned my head around. I've been influenced by many beauty bloggers to try this out and it's amazing.

Are you sleepy yet? This post has consisted of so many products that I changed my mind about adding in the bath and body range... if you're still interested in knowing what my best finds in bath and body and also haircare, let me know in the comments below!
