APRIL FAVOURITES

30 April 2015

Whenever it comes to monthly favourites I always get super excited to share with you on whatever I have discovered, used and loved for every month and this month is slightly exciting as you'll find out...

This month I've discovered both new and old things and those I've neglected but came back for them. First up I'll go for skincare although it's just one item: The Body Shop Seaweed Purifying Facial Cleanser has been a lifesaver lately. It's a milk cleanser and with its promising properties of purifying the skin after removing makeup and leaves the skin refreshed while mattifying the skin at the same time - it's quite the cleanser really + bonus: its scent is just so refreshing.
When it comes to the beauty section I think I may just fall head over heels with by just browsing through at the counters. I've been digging some old stuff and I've rediscovered the MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural from about a year ago, I just swirl it over with my powder brush to keep my skin from getting oily. I picked up the Real Techniques Duo-Fibre Limited Edition Brush Set [includes: powder, sculpting/contour, eyeshadow] recently as I really wanted a set of duo-fibre brushes and here in the pictures shown is the sculpting/contour brush I used along with the Clinique Chubby Sculpting Contour Stick to give my skin a natural contour finish. I also adore concealers and this was a recommendation by beauty-bloggers [Amelia Liana and Essie Button] - the Maybelline Anti-Age Eraser Eye Concealer. I have spoken about this quite a few times and it works perfectly under the eyers with one swipe. If you wish to cover your blemishes with this you might want to dab another layer and blend it out with your foundation brush. Another love is the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner because I can't live without waterproof eyeliners, my eyelids are super oily and not even the best eyeshadow primers [Urban Decay Eyeshadow Potion, Benefit Stay Don't Stray] could make it stay - I do love it waterproof and how it glides on smoothly on the lids but consistency's just not thick enough for me. I'm sure for every beauty blogger would have heard of this beautiful blush over the past year as it just looks so classy and beautiful - the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Diffused Heat [quote: Essie Button again]. One swirl will make your cheeks pop with a beautiful yet natural look to make you look flushed. This stuff is seriously the bomb worth buying despite the hefty price tag.
Moving on to body and miscellaneous items, I've fallen head over heels with The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Body Sorbet. The scent, the smoothness, the moisturising and refreshing properties just won it all. I had a bit of a writer's block and also due to my hectic assignments and tests schedule recently I've been quite stressful and found it hard to sleep early, so I reached for the This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray. I spray a twice on my pillows and then allow myself to relax and doze off peacefully without having to flip around. On my hair I have been loving to use hair bobbles (I have a few of my own from home) and I went to grab a pack of InvisiBobble [a pack of 3] and I really love them. It might be a new thing to a lot of people but back home it was just another tool for putting up your hair into firm ponytails. I also still love the Daniel Wellington Classic Sheffield Rose Gold with Brown Strap Watch as it's a timeless piece for everyday and occasion wear.

There goes my April favourites - what are your favourite items this month?
