30 June 2015

As the end of June has reached its expired journey, it's time to welcome July - my favourite month! Now, it's not just because it means that my birthday is near [7th July], but also a month where half of the year has passed; I can't wait to see where July is taking me! Today I also would like to share with you of the beauty items that have been welcomed, tested and made it through the final round to enter into my monthly favourites vault.

BOSCIA MakeUp BreakUp Cool Cleansing Oil
Mentioned in my evening skincare routine post (here), this cleansing oil has won a place in my heart. The texture is not as oily as the Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Oil (though I've went through at least 3 bottles of it), and it too is very cooling on the skin [hence the word 'cool']. Packed with botanical oils, it removes makeup gently and smoothly while the botanical oils soothe and calms the skin to prepare it for the next step of skincare.

Elemental Herbology Facial Detox Purifying Facial Mask
Want a good face mask that is made with natural ingredients? Step aside, Origins, Superfacialist and GlamGlow.. there is a new skincare brand in town. A British brand founded by Kristy Cimesa, the brand takes a holistic approach and believes on taking care of the skin inside out. This mask is very similar to Origins Clear Improvement mask (except for the thicker texture by Origins) - a clay mask, aiming to detox your skin, leaving it smooth and calm while banishing impurities.

FRESH SUGAR Lip Treatment in Ruby
Ah I've been waiting for months to get my hands on one of these, and it is my goal to collect all shades as the swatches of all shades have left me undecided that I had to pick one on random. Applies like a wonder and my lips feel so moisturised with a sheer tint - it's a perfect pick of lip balm for an everyday look, all year round.

Benefit Specialist Dream Screen with SPF 45 PA+++
When I was at Benefit Brow Bar for a brow waxing service, the lady would always recommend me the newest launch of the new products as I am such a frequent customer you see.. last year I succumbed to purchasing this as I believe that sunscreen is crucial for one's skin all year round although I used to not give it much thought. It's not greasy and provides such an amazing SPF power, there's nothing much to complain, really while the application feels like a dream.

MAC Prep + Prime Skin Base Visage
A new find this month as I have finished my NARS primer, the man at the MAC counter recommended this to me. A primer created to smoothen the skin, blurs imperfections, guaranteeing the makeup to last longer while it also gives the skin a dewy finish, it contains a little bit of shimmer to make your skin glows.

MAC Studio Finish Concealer Duo
I aimed at the single concealer and bam - the man at the MAC store recommended me the duo as it's worth better [the single was more expensive] and of course, I jumped at the better deal. I was also given a demo as the man works the concealer onto my skin and boy, it covers the blemishes perfectly, doesn't make your skin look cakey and it lasts on my skin the whole day.

MAC Pro Longwear Waterproof Brow Set
How many times can I emphasis how great this brow set is? Picked this up when I was on vacation in Belfast this past January, it is still ranked top on my makeup shelf and sure, it is similar to the Benefit Gimme Brow, but the waterproof property always win, always.

NYX Lush Lashes Full Figured Mascara
If you have oily eyelids like me and you only reach for waterproof mascaras, stop whatever you're doing now and pick this up. Lengthening and waterproof, I find it to be more volumising as I use it to top over another mascara that is super lengthening, but let's save that for another post.

Sephora Cream Lip Stain - 01 Always Red
If there is one affordable bold red matte lip stain that I would purchase other than Bourjois, then it will be this one. Raved, loved, still loving, it promises to last all day long and doesn't even budge or fade after meals. It was all sold out on my first visit to Sephora after I've landed, but on my second visit I picked up two of them at once - a must have for every woman.

NARS Audacious Lipstick in Olivia
Sadly they do not have it in the name of Angeline, but as a bold red lipstick lover this is one to pick up. Glides on the lips smoothly, lasts amazingly long and so moisturising; the texture is like a lip stain. What I also love about it is the packaging, the cover is magnetic so you don't have to worry about it coming loose at all.

LAVANILLA The Healthy Deodorant in Pure Vanilla
Raved by Essie Button, loved by my best friend - I was gifted in a duo set and yes, it smells just like vanilla and controls perspiration of your armpits [TMI!]. One tiny little stick lasts a long way, after a month of use and it still looks like it's never been used before - amazing.

Sephora Nail Stickers
My father buys a ton of them from Paris for me every time he visits and I'm really glad he did. Sometimes when I get impatient on waiting for my nail polish to dry up, I put on nail stickers and these are very pretty - I usually pick up the floral one!

Have you tried any of these? What are your favourites this month?
