THE SKINCARE EDIT: SUMMER ESSENTIALS

25 August 2015

While summer only lasts so long and is going away in the blink of an eye, there are many options to consider when the transition between seasons are happening; the skin becomes dry and dehydrated due to the weather change recently [though we are still talking about summer right now because Autumn is yet to arrive], I gathered a few products that are crucial for the season-change for a good, well-taken-care-of skin.

TARTE MARACUJA C-BRIGHTER EYE TREATMENT

Oh, eye creams. They're so important for the skin surrounding our eyes because it's so thin and fragile; while constant rubbing may lead to tiny wrinkly edges [which is what we don't really want] so eye creams for here to rescue the day! This eye cream is light-weight and instantly brightens up the skin around your eyes where it's packed with Maracuja oil and Vitamin C to brighten the skin around the eye with the brand's renown C-brighter technology. Truly the eye cream to try.

LANEIGE WATER SLEEPING PACK

I would also recommend a Water Sleeping Mask for those who have dry, dehydrated and dull skin, though it works well for any skin type which is a bonus for Laneige. Their motto for all to achieve the hydrated skin look has led them to create this sleeping mask that does the job while you're asleep, and you wake up to plump, soft and hydrated skin.

AĒSOP PARSLEY SEED CLEANSING MASQUE

One of the best masks I've ever used. It smells heavenly, and it unclogs the pores while it draws out dirt and impurities; it's perfect for all skin types. Aēsop has been doing an amazing job of (if not, quite) organic products and their packaging is sleek.

LANEIGE POWER ESSENTIAL SKIN REFINER - SENSITIVE SKIN

I'm a user of facial toners so it's no surprise that I love searching for toners that work for my skin. Initially, this was the bomb before I discovered La Roche-Posay's Serozinc toner. Meant for sensitive skin, it exfoliates the skin well and doesn't contain any harsh particles.

GLAMGLOW SUPERMUD CLEARING TREATMENT

This may have well been the best clay mask I've ever used. It draws out impurities like no other while it dries out and minimises the look and size of any blemish that appears on sight, though you have to expect your skin to be dry post-use as it's clay; should you wish to moisturise deeply I would recommend you to top it off with a moisturising mask pre-tone.
