A TALK ON: MARACUJA OIL

3 September 2015

On today's post, I would want to shed some light on maracuja oil and its benefits, as you may have known that I use the Tarte Maracuja C-Brightener Eye Treatment; though it will be the first guest post and I'm glad that Amy has so much knowledge to share on the benefits of maracuja oil, and why you should use it.

Maracuja is a plant that is native to Brazil, Paraguay, and northern Argentina. The Maracuja oil can be sourced from the seeds of two plants that are similar to each other. These two plants are Passiflora incarnate, known as passion flower and Passifloraedulis, known as passion fruit.

Various studies have confirmed the benefits of maracuja oil. According to a study published in theInternational Journal of Cosmetic Science, passion fruit oil can inhibit the production of melanin; which makes this oil a natural alternative for treating hyperpigmentation.

Furthermore, an extract of this plant acts as an antioxidant. Another research on the benefits of maracuja oil indicates that Passiflora seeds contain linoleic acid, an ingredient effective in cell regulation and skin-barrier repair. Additionally, passion fruit seed oil is considered to be a good moisturizer.

Finally, passion fruit seeds contain a high amount of piceatannol, a compound which promotes collagen production.

When it comes to buying organic cosmetics, there is a wide range of products available today on the market. However, even if it states so, not every product is 100% pure.

As an organic cosmetics enthusiast, I can recommend using organic skin care products from 100 Percent Pure. They create cosmetics free of harmful toxins found in conventional cosmetic products. More specifically, 100 Percent Pure beauty products do not contain any synthetic chemicals including:sulfates, parabens, and formaldehydes. This natural 100% vegan-structure of products caters to all skin types.

Their newest product are 100% natural mascaras that are available in three colors: cocoa, black tea, and berry pigments. These mascaras are free of harmful chemicals and apart from maracuja oil, they are also rich in natural ingredients such as vitamin E, pro-vitamin B5, thyme, rosemary and oregano leaves.

100% vegan maracuja oil-based foundations come in eight different shades. Made for all those who want to accomplish the no make-up look, this light foundation suits all skin types. Some of the most important natural ingredients include extracts of peaches, carrot root, pomegranate seed oil, vitamin E, green tea leaf extract, and honeysuckle flower.

Organic makeup is the best choice if you have sensitive or irritated skin, and there are many more benefits of using organic skin care products.

There is a wide range of natural ingredients that each have natural, healing powers. We all know how beneficial shea butter and argan oil are, but there is no doubt maracuja oil can compete with the ingredients on the picture below.

Maracuja is not only delicious, but have healing powers and is good for the skin - try maracuja oil, and it will do wonders with your skin!
