AUGUST BEAUTY PICKS + LIFE UPDATES

1 September 2015

It's already September - where did the rest of the year go?! Summer did not just happen those months ago... it felt like summer only came to say hi a minute ago, and here we are, preparing for the colder seasons of Autumn and Winter to gain upon us for long nights. Anyhow I thought it's always a time for favourites when it comes to the end of a month and the beginning of another new month; plus I also have a little bit of updates..

JOSIE MARAN LIGHT ARGAN OIL

My first favourite of the month would be this. I have replaced my moisturisers with a light argan oil and I never really turned back. A very hefty investment but I'm glad it works, as it works not just as a light moisturiser that absorbs into the skin easily, you can use it on your body and hair. About 2-3 little drops will do on your skin but of course you'll need more on your hair and body - a little goes a long way!

AV├łNE TRIACNEAL

My sister initially tried it out first and then she gave it to me, and I'm so glad she did! It works like a charm, one use and you can already see the difference the next day; any spots you dot it on will diminish by dawn and it's very mild so it doesn't do any harsh effects on the skin.

ORIGINS OUT OF TROUBLE 10-MINUTE MASK

I love using this mask when my skin is flaring up with those nasty blemishes that are unwelcomed; it doesn't dry out the skin like crazy but it does bring all the unsurfaced blemishes to see the sun and allows it to be healed! It's been hiding inside my stash for a long time so it's always great to new rediscoveries!

CLINIQUE DARK SPOT DEFENSE SPF45

Because I was constantly out, especially with my recent trip to Shanghai I needed a good coverage of SPF and I was preventing foundation at some point last month so I've been reaching out for this sunscreen a lot; which is a lifesaver because my skin is sensitive to basically everything!

LAURA MERCIER OIL-FREE FOUNDATION PRIMER

I love love love this primer, it's such a holy grail! Laura Mercier doesn't disappoint really, with any of their beauty products they are just so good on the skin! Most primers do tend to break me out but I'm glad that this primer didn't!

URBAN DECAY ORIGINAL EYESHADOW PRIMER POTION

Why haven't I picked this up sooner I really have no idea. But this is a serious game changer for my eyes as you all may have known by now that my eyelids are super oily and any eyeshadow would smudge on it; my best friend has recommended me to use this for so long and since there was a discount in my local Sephora so I got it and I never regretted getting it.

DIOR ADDICT LIP GLOW IN 'CORAL'

The Dior Lip Glow has always been my favourite lip balm for the past year now and I can't recall how many of them I've went through; though it was only in one shade, though last month they've released a new shade 'Coral' and I've picked it up of course, and I absolutely love it!

L'OCCITANE ALMOND MILK CONCENTRATE FOR SOOTHING AND FIRMING

Oh, I've never really been a fan of body lotions, body butter for any sort but my skin has been so dry recently accompanied by my recent trip so I thought that I might need it; so I did. It was game-changing on my body as it smells heavenly (of almonds) and it's just so soft on the skin!

+ LIFE UPDATES:

This month marks the month of the end of summer holidays for all UK university students and I'm devastated to leave my home country, family and close friends for university, once again. This time I will be heading back for Second Year so things might get busy, I have a new house to move in to.. etc., but let's not talk about that now, I have 2 more weeks till I fly back; I just want to give you guys a heads-up that I might let most of the posts schedule by then!

What are your favourites this month?
