THE BEAUTY EDIT: A/W'15 ESSENTIALS

27 October 2015

I love autumn and of course, winter. I love the transition of both these seasons as I enjoy sipping a good hot chocolate while I enjoy the privilege to wear jumpers, winter coats and winter boots. What makes me happier than that comes down to one thing: beauty. In this post I'm going to talk about a few of my essentials for A/W.

JOSIE MARAN LIGHT ARGAN OIL | $19.97

Now that autumn is cracking up I've been switching up with my skincare routine. Don't worry I just added a new product into my skincare routine and changed a bit of it, though this light Argan oil is still one of my favourites. I've been using this since summer and my skin didn't even break out! I used to be sceptical about putting oils on my face when my skin is already oily - but this light Argan oil made a huge difference to my skin.

ANTIPODES AVOCADO PEAR NOURISHING NIGHT CREAM | £33

A recent purchase from another beauty blogger from her blog sale and I have to say this product works pretty amazingly on my skin. I use it as a night cream instead of full-on light Argan Oil and my skin has been nourished and looking healthier. With the feature of promoting collagen production and for healthy cells regeneration, this mask is full of goodness.

ORIGINS ORIGINAL SKIN RESTEXTURISING MASK WITH ROSE CLAY | £23

Ahh I love a good exfoliating mask when it comes to all year round essentials so how could I not feature this? Helps remove dead skin while providing moisture with rose clay, this mask has proven my sceptical self that with tiny exfoliating beads my skin wouldn't break out if it's the right one.

VASELINE ORIGINAL PETROLEUM JELLY LIP THERAPY | £1.79

Another essential I think I need all year round is the Vaseline petroleum jelly. I can never live without it - my lips crack at the slightest hint of dryness which really hurts. I initially only wear the Dior Lip Glow as my lip balm for a good two years until I realised that that was too expensive to wear everyday, which resulted in me also remembering my family's cult essential.

DIOR DIORSKIN NUDE AIR SERUM FOUNDATION | £33

I'm a foundation hoarder even though I know I won't be finishing all of them any time soon, this foundation takes a pretty good spot on my list. I had it demonstrated to me at the counters of Sephora and with a light touch my skin does look like my skin, but better. For the price I know it's pretty hefty for a foundation but hey, it's Dior and they never disappoint.

CHARLOTTE TILBURY MATTE REVOLUTION LIPSTICK in LOVE LIBERTY | £23

Arghhh to the creator of lipsticks, how do I even thank you!?! Well I think I should be thanking Charlotte Tilbury for this amazing matte lipstick, where I love wearing all year long without having to feel that it would be too heavy on me. Don't get tricked by the intensity of the shade, it's lighter but smooth and moisturising, promise!

THE BODY SHOP SPA OF THE WORLD DEAD SEA SALT SCRUB | £20

What would life be without a good body scrub (and a good body cream soon to be spoken of)? Nothing. As a girl who loves everything beachy and floral, I love this body scrub in particular not just because of the scent, but of the intensity and fine the particles of the scrub is. With weather like this I pretty much want to dip in and have a good scrub every week!

PHILIPS LADY SHAVE SENSITIVE RAZOR* | £47

I know that now that winter is coming but I'm a person who shaves my legs even though I wouldn't be out not wearing any tights! I was approached by Debenhams to try this new razor out; but first I wanted to say I'm terrified of electronic razors because they sounded very scary (I had one a few months ago) but this one was so gently on my skin and I wasn't even hurt by the razors at all while shaving my legs!

THE BODY SHOP SPA OF THE WORLD HAWAIIAN KUKUI CREAM | £23

This is pretty much a favourite that I haven't been letting go (and won't be) for a while. Its texture is so creamy and intense but not heavy on the skin which is pretty much 70% of why I love this body cream but let's not leave the good scent of it behind shall we? So, the remainder of 30% goes to how amazing this smells! I actually use it every night on my feet and then wearing my sleeping socks (rocking Harry Potter's Gryffindor) and head on to bed - I wake up with smooth feet!

TOPSHOP JAXSON FAUX FUR SHORT PARKA | £78

If you know me you know I love the colour red - doesn't matter which shade; maroon, aubergine, berry reds and all. When I saw this parka at Topshop I was absolutely sold. What a better opportunity to buy a parka while you're on a student shopping night? I got a 20% discount off for this so it was really a great deal - the faux fur is just the comfiest ever, I wouldn't take it off when I was trying on it!

Have you tried any of these? What are your A/W essentials this year?
