6 PRODUCTS ON TRIAL: BEAUTY & HAIR

14 January 2016

Greetings everyone - I trust that you've all had a wonderful Christmas and an amazing New Years? Me too! I do very much apologise for my lack of content the past 2 months, I have been very, very caught up with uni work as well as my job and then, came the exams so thank you very much for putting up with me! Today's post will be about me trial running on a few products (luckily, some of these should be my monthly favourites but trial-run will do for now)!

SIMPLE KIND TO SKIN CLEANSING FACIAL WIPES - £3.25

I don't think I've ever mentioned any cleansing wipes before, mainly because all the previous ones I've used have caused breakouts on my skin even after washing with a cleanser afterwards, but obviously this pack of cleansing wipes have done an amazing job on removing makeup completely without any harsh particles and my skin was so soft and cleansed after - of course, I still needed to cleanse my face but my skin was just normal and not sticky at all (most other cleansing wipes will cause the skin to feel sticky)!

MAC FOILED EYESHADOW in FAERIE FAYRE - £16

Holy moly guacamole! I stumbled into MAC just to, you know, browse around when I saw this eyeshadow. I gave it a test of course and the shade was so pigmented and smooth - a shimmery dark rose gold eyeshadow fit for all beautiful skintones! Of course, I've worn it a few times now - without any eyeshadow primer, it has a wonderful staying power on the eyelids and ah, the limited edition eyeshadow for the new line called Faerie Whispers. Grab it near a MAC near you or buy it online now!

KIKO TOTAL SCULPT 3-IN-1 CONTOUR KIT - £13.90

Grabbed from a sale, KIKO is underrated as their products are swinging up in a very glacial pace. I love contouring but without a good contour kit, it will never be perfect and I got this of course, while in a beautiful palette it comes in 3 different shades for different uses. The lightest shade for highlighting on the bridge of the nose, the upper brow bone, the forehead; whilst the second (middle) shade is for creating the more subtle look and for blending in with the darkest shade - contouring. Pretty worth every penny as they're very, very pigmented. It's available in 2 shades, either for a light-to-medium skin tone or a medium-to-dark one.

NARS SATIN LIP PENCIL in PALAIS ROYAL - £19

Winter comes, winter goes but the lipsticks don't. On a recent one-day trip to London I have curbed my temptation to walk into Selfridges but that didn't work out quite well and I caved in to another lipstick. Or rather, lip pencil. The NARS Satin Lip Pencil has been well-known for their beautiful satin lip colours and my friend and I, we decided on Palais Royal because it's a gorgeous berry shade. It wears on the lips smoothly and gets a long lasting power if worn on top of a lip liner. Mm can't live without NARS and berry lipsticks!

CHANEL ROUGE ALLURE VELVET MATTE LIP COLOUR in 347 MARVEILLEUSE - Sold Out

As much as I would love you all to try this lipstick shade out, unfortunately it's sold out everywhere I tried to find the same shade. A gorgeous matte rose pink lipstick to be perfected with a beautiful rose gold eyeshadow to top the party. It's actually my first Chanel lipstick and I adore it very, very much and it wears beautifully on the lips without actually gliding off at all. The packaging is luxurious and elegant with a gold element inside a black coloured tube - CHANEL wins the packaging game!

AVEDA DAMAGE REMEDY INTENSIVE RESTRUCTURING TREATMENT - £29.50

Oh what would we do without a good hair treatment? If you've been a reader since 2015 then you may have heard that I've spoken about the Daily Hair Repair product (here), which in both are from the same line and brand and I can never speak any better about this hair treatment. My hair is dyed, bleached and coloured a gazillion times and well, funny me forgot about the Daily Hair Repair so I was frantic about my hair and then my best friend just recommended me the Treatment instead so I grabbed it. This line is supposed to deeply repair the hair with protein treatment to prevent the hair from dying. The result? My hair was smooth and luminous and no signs of damaging for a whole week!
